T Plese Carpentry services all Suburbs of Melbourne (Northern, Western & Eastern Suburbs) as well as Geelong and selected regional suburbs.

In Victoria, pergolas only require council approval if:

the structure has a roof, and
is not more than 3.6m in height, and
is not more than 20m2 in floor area, and
satisfies the siting requirements (placement on the allotment), which are set out in the Building Regulations 2018.

If constructing a larger pergola, you will require a building permit. At T Plese Carpentry we can arrange the council submissions for you. These can take up to 6 weeks or longer, depending on your local council.

We can design your pergola to what your personal preferences are. Sloping roofs are great for a more modern look, and gable roofs are great for a more traditional-styled home.
